Order Labs on your own . . .

here’s how it it works

Step 1: Choose which bloodwork panel is best for you (bloodwork is NOT included in booking a Review or 1:1 service)

Step 2: Once purchased, my team will send you your lab requisition via email (be sure to check spam folder)

Step 3: Find a LabCorp location closest to you. You can either make an appt. or show up as a walk in. I suggest doing walk in’s first thing in the morning and show up early! You will need to show proof of the requisition (this can just be in your email / phone, you do not need to print it out unless you want to) and your ID. Your ID name must match the name on the requsition!

Step 4: Labs should be done FASTED, and ideally first thing in the morning. You can have water before hand. If you are doing a panel with a urinalysis, make sure you have enough pee pee to go when you get there! 12 hours is usually best for fasting. Avoid supplements that morning, medication is ok.

Step 5: Labs results can take anywhere from a few days to a week or so depending on markers ordered. You will get an email with your lab results from my team when they are ready.

Step 6: Do you want a lab review or plan to book a 1:1 consult? You can purchase at the same time as your labs or when you get them back. Note: 1:1 space is limited! You can learn more about services here.

 FAQs

  • If you are looking to book an Initial Consult - you will need to order bloodwork. This is required and results need to be ready prior to your consult. You can reach out with specific questions before ordering if you need to, or check out each panel for more details. My preferred panel is either the Standard or Advanced to start. The Standard will be the most cost effective, while still providing more than enough information for us to review. If you are looking for the most in depth look at your health, there are 7 added markers to the Advanced Panel that give us even further insight to your body.

  • Usually you will get them back within a week of emailing your results! If I have follow up questions, can get it done sooner or I am a little behind, I will email you to chat :)

  • I recommend not taking your thyroid medication before your labs because it can falsely elevate values. We also want to see what it’s doing without support. However, if you can’t wait to take it have always taken it before, that’s ok too and we can account for that. If taking, aim for 2-3 hours prior.

  • If you click on each panel, you can see which markers are added or removed + which is best for what you need.

  • Yes! Just please make sure they are not older than 3-4 months otherwise they will not be as up to date as we want. Also please stick to blood chemistry markers such as the panels I recommend. Any specialty labs, please email prior to make sure I am familiar enough with them to give you a proper review.

  • No need to stop supplementation leading up to your blood draw, only the morning of. You do not want to take anything right before your blood draw. If there is something specific you are taking that you think could influence your labs, please discuss with me prior.
